"I have more important things to do..." -Scott Brown when asked by WBZ if he would identify his alleged abuser.

Some commenters on the stories and editorial we have published on  Senator Scott Brown sexual abuse charge at Camp Good News in the Forestdale section of Sandwich indicate there are others who were sexually abused at the same camp, and who are still afraid or embarrassed to speak out.

Today on WBZ, when asked if he would pursue his alleged sexually abuser, Senator Brown said, "I have more important things to do... he's probably in his 70s today."

Court reports are full of 70-year-old sexual abusers, and we urge the Senator to consider the trauma of the other ten-year-old children who were sexually abused at the same camp by the same alleged abuser and for him to immediately urge Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe to pursue an investigation to find the abuser and stop him.

We have contacted the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, and we asked that she investigate the allegations since it is more than likely that other abused children do not fall under Mr. O'Keefe's jurisdiction.

The comments which alarmed us especially were these two:

  1. When it comes to Camp Good News - Scott is far from the only one. I ask you to look deeper, dig deeper. If you do this, TIME WILL TELL ALL. The camp has already changed their story. As evident in the interviews they have given to the... papers. On Thurs they said their records show Scott Brown was a camper there. Today they state they have no records from that time. Which one is the truth? Although the computer records are only 15 years old there IS definitely paper records. Let me assure you they absolutely do have records and pictures from each and every year. The DA absolutely needs to investigate Camp Good News - what he discovers will be MIND BLOWING!!! Scott's revelation is only the TIP of the iceberg. With a prominent figure like Senator Brown now stepping forward what should have been exposed many times will finally come to light. Don't let them fool you. Don't believe their lies. The powers to be at the camp have spent years lying. They do it in the name of "CHRIST or CHRISTIANS." This has allowed them to pull the wool over many eyes. They are not who or what they pretend.
  2. In your article you reference Touched By Angels. Let me assure you that story pales in comparison to this story and what is yet to be uncovered. Finally a journalist willing to say what has needed to be said for days now. I applaud you. The story is there and the truth is ugly but it absolutely needs to be told. So many victims both young and old now are depending on you.I urged you to pursue this investigation with haste as every passing day allows Camp Good News to destroy crucial evidence. Evidence that is indeed there.
