Blood drive at Manomet Moose Lodge

The Plymouth Moose will host a community blood drive in their lodge home at 601 State Road in Manomet on Wednesday, June 6, from 2 to 7 p.m.

Walk-in donations are accepted, but appointments are recommended; you can schedule an appointment through the American Red Cross Web site at www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code 7756, or you can call 800-GIVELIFE (800-448-3543).  

Plymouth Philharmonic’s 11th Annual Golf Tournament

The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual golf tournament takes place at Southers Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth, 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 14. 

The $125 entry fee includes golf, a lunch buffet and a cocktail reception.  The tournament is one of the orchestra’s largest fundraisers of the year.  All proceeds from the event benefit the Phil’s education programs and regional performances.

Hanson event will benefit woman hurt in crash

A fundraiser is being held May 12 from 7 p.m. to  midnight at the Hanson Athletic Association to benefit a Pembroke woman hurt in a car crash on Route 53 in Duxbury.

Kimberly Kelly, 28, was in a head-on collision with a 25-year-old Pembroke man on January 8. 

Habitat for Humanity holds its annual fundraiser, May 11

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth is having its Annual Celebration with Art Wine & Jazz, on May 11, 7-11 p.m., at the Pinehills Golf Club at 54 Clubhouse Drive, Plymouth.

Sign up early for road race in Myles Standish Forest

Barefoot running permitted

Registration is underway for the Wildlands Trust’s second annual Run for Conservation.

The 5K race, run half on the road and half on the trail, takes place June 9 in the Myles Standish State Forest. The first 100 registrants get a free race T-shirt and the first 25 entrants get a 25 percent discount. Just enter the code “EarlyReg” on the website.

Cerebral palsy association holding golf tourney in Plymouth

Pinehills will host event

Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts holds its 13th annual Golf Classic,Thursday, May 24, at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth.

The golf tournament includes golf, lunch, dinner reception  and entertainment by comedian Tony V. There is a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The entry fee of $180 includes 18 holes of golf, cart, boxed lunch and dinner reception.
This year Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts will award $50,000 to 20 students with disabilities.
