By Jonathan Kaminsky NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) – Real estate scion Robert Durst, who has agreed to be extradited to California on a murder charge, was ordered held for several days in a New Orleans jail on Tuesday after being booked locally on firearms possession charges, prosecutors said. Durst, 71, the subject of a six-part HBO documentary series called “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst,” was picked up by a filmmaker’s microphone saying he “killed them all,” apparently acknowledging his crimes, while also admitting that he was “caught,” in footage aired on Sunday. He was arrested a day earlier by FBI agents at a New Orleans hotel with a revolver and a controlled substance in his possession, according to a police report, after Los Angeles County issued a warrant for his arrest in the 2000 killing of longtime friend Susan Berman. Long estranged from his powerful family with its major New York real estate holdings, the eccentric Durst was tried and acquitted in 2003 in the death of another person in Texas and was a suspect in the disappearance of his wife, Kathleen Durst, in 1982.
